The first edition of The Freemason’s Monitor was published in 1797 and became one of the most influential works in the history of American Freemasonry. Its subsequent lifetime editions document the gradual development and expansion of a book that had a profound impact on American Masonic and York Rite traditions.

This complete collection makes it possible to trace the evolution of this fundamental work over more than twenty years—from the first edition of 1797 to the final edition published during Thomas Smith Webb’s lifetime in 1818.
