Museum News – Exposition No. 026 (July 28, 2025)
North Side of the Museum Dedicated to the Masonic Order of Knights Templar (late 19th century — early 20th century).
The centerpiece of this section of the museum is the portrait of Eugene F. Falconnet (1830—1887), a Templar who served as a Major and artillery commander in one of the brigades of the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
Displayed below are several Knights Templar swords, the uppermost of which belonged to Eugene F. Falconnet.
On both the left and right sides, there are glass display cases containing ten separate exhibits (which will be detailed in future updates), as well as two mannequins dressed in Knights Templar regalia.
Of particular interest is the first uniform on the left, which belonged to another Civil War participant, Casper Ruedy, who served in the Union Army. This uniform is the oldest in our museum’s collection and dates back to the late 1870s.
