The month has come to an end, and we are ready to present the most interesting new acquisitions of the Museum. Archive. Library (MAL) for February 2026.

Museum: In February 2026, our museum received a Knights Templar sword from the Grand Commandery of Illinois, dating to the period of the American Civil War. The sword belonged to Charles Fisher (Dec. 24,1822 — July 9,1911) — Past Eminent Commander of Elwood Commandery No. 6 in 1861 and Grand Senior Warden of the Grand Commandery of Illinois in 1864.

Archive: Among the most notable archival acquisitions is the newly created Collection 11: Documents of Oriental Lodge No. 111 A.F. & A.M., 1940—1963 (Broad Brook, Connecticut). The collection contains approximately 500 pages and reflects the activities of the lodge during this historical period.

Library: The library acquired the book Par un Prestre du Clergé, CATECHISME CHRESTIEN, POUR LA VIE INTERIEURE, published in Paris in 1656. Such books were used for teaching the fundamentals of the Christian faith and spiritual lif e.
