On June 1,2026, a new exhibition was opened at The Museum of the History of the American Knights Templar. The exhibition is dedicated to the dress uniform of Knights Templar from the Grand Commandery of Virginia (Exposition 038).
The exhibition features the dress uniform of a Knight from Winchester Commandery No. 12 (Winchester, Virginia). This commandery was one of the oldest in the Commonwealth of Virginia and was chartered on July 5,1824.
The dress uniform set includes a commandery chapeau, regulation dress coat, regulation sash, a belt with the commandery buckle, a regulation sword, an apron of a rare design, and a very rare pair of black cuffs.
A photograph of the commandery taken during the Triennial Conclave in Louisville in 1901 is also included in the exhibition.
